Girl Scout Camp Out Day

Girl Scout Campout Day!

What do you do with 6 girls under the age of 6 that aren’t quite ready to have a Real Camping Experience?

You make a Day Camp Experience!

We planned our Camp Out Day on a weekend we were camped at Mahoney State Park, so it was easy for everyone to take the drive out and join us at our campsite!

I love to plan a party, and themes are my specialty!  So I went all out making the best camping experience for my troop of Daisies!

Olivia and I made special Campfire Cupcakes, Campfire Cookies and made sure we had all the fixings for some great S’mores!!

How can you not hand out a Official  S’More’s Taster Badge!!

Like I said, I love a theme, and I’m a moose lover, so I had all the décor that I raided from my Christmas Decorations!  Who doesn’t love a tall alpine tree, next to a Giant Stuffed Moose!  I use all the décor to decorate my front Porch at Christmas!!  It was a great chance to show my hubby that I can re-purpose things!   Plus, Olivia already had the small pink tent!  It had never seen the outside before this day – but it did make a cute prop for our camping adventure!

Our camping adventure started out with a Nature Scavenger Hunt to earn their nature badge!

Then we Tye-Dyed Shirts!!  Yet another reason for a badge!!  And since we were outside – another huge BONUS!!

We ended our day by cooking Hot Dogs and roasting marshmallows over the campfire!  Who can resist a toasty marshmallow and campfire on a 90+ degree day!
