Top 7 Reasons to stay at the Phoenician in Scottsdale AZ!

I love Phoenix!

I have been enjoying the beautiful desert of Arizona at least 1-2 times per year for the last 20 years!  Phoenix is one of the only cities I choose to rent a car!  It is super easy to get around and everything is laid out nicely!  There are so many wonderful parts of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area that I have become very familiar with!

Of all the amazing hotels in the area, one of my favorites is the Phoenician!

This hotel has undergone a complete renovation!  This is not your ordinary, update the carpet, paint the walls and get new beds –  this is a multi-million dollar renovation!  Complete with new lobby, restaurants, completely new Spa with it’s own roof top pool, amazing newly renovated guest rooms (with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in) and of course amazing service!

Here are my Top 7 reasons to enjoy the Phoenician!

Number 7:

On site Golf Course!

I’m not a fan of golf, but Phoenix has some amazing Golf Courses, and having one on-site is great!!

Number 6:

Their amazing meeting space!  Not everyone is looking for meeting space –but think family reunion, girls weekend, wedding, etc!

The Ballroom, outdoor space, and their unique venue of Jokake Inn as a backdrop to an amazing event!

Jokake – Private Meeting Space

Number 5:

The Art Work

Just some of the beautiful statues, art work on the walls and even the fountains are all beautiful works of Art

The Chandelier going into the ballroom space is one of my favorite pieces (maybe because I love a sparkle) – but riding down the escalator and seeing the amazing crystal chandeliers greeting you is beautiful!

Number 4:

The Food!

Just walk by the beautiful case of food in the Marketplace, and it calls you in!

Check out this super adorable bee hive cake!

It was a light lemon cream cake with meringue all around it!  YUM!

Their new concept eatery at the pool – Kilo Kabobery!  At first, I was a little skeptical, but then I tried the beef kabobs and OMG!  They were amazing – and they are presented in cute plastic trays with all the fixings on the side!  I have to say – this was my lunch at least 3 times!!!

Early morning breakfast was great at their breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant – Mowry & Cotton!  Breakfast buffet is served or you can order off the menu!  Lunch and dinner are also served, with some amazing selections, and lots of portions to share at your table!

Nothing can beat their fine dining establishment – J & G Steakhouse!  Just the views alone make this restaurant a must go!  Try their mushroom risotto when it is in season – it is the best I have ever had!!

Number 3:

The Pools!

Yes, I said Pools!

The Phoenician has 3 separate pools plus a waterslide and splash pad along with 2 jacuzzi tubs!

The main pool is where all the excitement is!

The main pool even has a private section that you can enjoy for a fee that has a fire pit and upgraded chairs and lounge chairs.

Kids are playing, people are enjoying lunch or beverages by the pool near the Kilo Kabobery!  Next to the restaurant on a different level is the Kids area, with a splash pad and waterslide!

Down one more level is the Adults Only, or semi quiet pool.

The even further down a level is the Mother of Pearl pool, with amazing tile work!

Number 2:

The Desert Garden

I had a room facing the Desert Garden, and a beautiful view of the mountain!  Every morning I got to walk either through the hallways or through the garden!  What an beautiful way to start your day!

There are hundreds of different types of cacti, and because it is a natural habitat – there might even be some dessert creatures, including a rattle snake!  Yikes!!  I never saw one – but I’m sure they have to post it  – just to be safe!!

Number 1:

The views!

Who can ever get tired of watching the sunset glow between the palm trees overlooking the amazing pool!

For Other fun things to do outside of the Phoenician –

Visit my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale:

Just the thought of their famous Butter Cake makes my mouth water, let alone their amazing steaks!

Mastro’s has several locations in Phoenix- but just down the street from the Phoenician is their City Hall Location!

Old Town Scottsdale is also a fun place – Stop by the Sugar Bowl for an Ice Cream Treat!

Another Old Town Scottsdale favorite is The Mission.  Their table side Guacamole is out of this world!

If your travels bring you to the Phoenix or Scottsdale area, I highly recommend the Phoenician and its amazing amenities!
